Know When To Blow Out Your System

    • As you know, Kansas sees below freezing temperatures in the winter and sometimes even in the late fall. Give ICT Irrigation a call to schedule your winterization each year.
    • If freezing temperatures arrive before your winterization, wrap you PVB(city systems) with a blanket and tape it up or put a trash can over it to prevent it from cracking and breaking with the freezing temperatures.

Thinking About Installing A Sprinkler System? Here Are Some Things To Think About.

    • Put in more heads than you think you will need. They are inexpensive and easy to remove if you devide you dont want one.
    • Heads should be placed so each areas of the lawn is watered by at least two heads.
    • ICT Irrigation will call to have your property marked for all important utilites before digging. Kansas 811 will place colored flags in areas where there are utility lines and pipes, making it easy for us to know where to avoid digging at.
    • Timerbox placement matters! We will help you decide on a convenient location to place your timerbox. Easy access and good lighting make it easier to change the program. Usually these areas are inside a garage, carport or shed.

    When To Run Your System

    • Run your irrigation system early in the morning. This is when water pressure is typically at its best.
    • Watering in the morning also has the least wind. Wind can easily blow a spray pattern several feet off target resulting in dry areas.
